#4: Is this an Anecdote or a Story?

It's a real question. I've been telling it for years, but I don't actually know.

An anecdote is “a usually short narrative of an interesting, amusing, or biographical incident.”

A story is, “an account of incidents or events.”

Sounds like according to Merriam Webster they’re exactly the same. But surely there’s not, right? I mean, once we — in life or in my storytelling classes— have listened to enough anecdotes and stories, we can …
